Murrell Home

I need to back up all the way to Spring break. With the barn sale and all of that I totally forgot to blog about our time in the promise land. One of the adventures we had one of the days was having a picnic and touring the Murrell Home.

After lunch we hit the nature trails and skipped rocks in the creek. I mean seriously isn't the promise land so beautiful!

It was so fun that my nephew Garrett and his girlfriend were able to hang out with us some at the park.

After walking the trails we toured the home. I have always loved this place, I love its history and how they have preserved most of the original furnishings but then again I love history.

We also toured the outside grounds where there were cabins, a blacksmith shop and mercantile restored to what it would have looked like back in the day.

It was a beautiful spring day and we made some great memories. If you are ever in Northeastern Oklahoma and want something fun to do add the Murrell Home to your to do list!

Prom 2017

Last Saturday was prom for Kenton. He looked so handsome in his tux or at least I thought he did but I might be just a little bit prejudice. Ha!

His Uncle Ron was gracious enough to let him use his Mustang to drive for the night. He loved that!
Thank you Ron so much!

I don't know how ya'll do prom but at our kiddos' school they do a thing called promenade. It is where all of the parents, grandparents and friends line up and take pictures of the kids as they walk into the venue.

Everyone looked SO stunning and handsome.

The girls wanted a picture with their handsome brother. We were sad that Taryn wasn't there she had to work.
Some of the Sophomore class helped serve and they also looked so nice all cleaned up. Tiana was NOT one of them. Ha!

The venue that they had this year was SO amazing. It was like walking through a European city. So beautiful! It was a great night had by all or at least that is what the kids said. Such great memories.

Spring Barn Sale 2017

The week leading up to the barn sale the weather was not in our favor. It was a rainy muddy mess. But I put my prayer warriors on it and we all started praying that it would stop long enough for a great day. And lo and behold God answered and it was a great day!
I have said over and over again that we couldn't have a successful sale without amazing help and these are just a few of the faces that made the day run so smoothly. I am beyond grateful for all of their hard work!

We also had a great crowd that showed up to shop and have lunch. So thankful each and everyone of ya'll that came out.

And at the end of the day this is how most of us felt. So tired but we couldn't have wished for a better day. So blessed! We are working on the date for the Fall sale and I will roll that out when I know so stayed tuned.
