Biscuit Recipe

I try to make the kiddos a hot breakfast in the mornings before school. Not that it happens everyday but I try at least a couple of times a week. One of their favorites is biscuits and gravy. Growing up in the promise land of Oklahoma this was something we ate often. So yummy! Here is a simple spoon biscuit recipe I thought I would share with you. Below are the ingredients.
Add in a bowl 2 cups of flour, 2 Tablespoons of Sugar, 4 teaspoons baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon cream of tarter and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
Then you are going to cut in 1/2 cup of shortening.
Cut the shortening with a pastry cutter until it looks like this.
Then add 2/3 cups of milk and 1 egg. The reason it shows 2 eggs in the picture is because I always double my batch. There is a lot of people up in here. Ha!
 Mix it all together
Since the dough is sticky I use 2 spoons to dish it out onto a greased cookie sheet.

Bake in a 450 degree oven for 10-12 minutes.
Eat them plain or spoon gravy over it and there you have it. Super simple, super De-lish! Enjoy!
