Eric Fisher Academy

Natalia has always play with hair. Even when she was little she loved to style and even cut (it was so bad) hair. So it was only natural that she would go to cosmetology school. After looking at a couple of school in the area she chose Eric Fisher Academy. She has loved her time there and has learned so much. It has been so great to see her grow in confidence and skill. For their graduation they had to find a model to do their hair and makeup. The theme was space or futuristic which was a little out of Natalia's comfort zone but she did a great job at the runway show.

There were so many looks, lets just say there were looks you don't see on the farm. Ha!

The biggest surprise for all of us was when they announced that Natalia was valedictorian! We are so proud of her and we are looking forward to see what God does with her career as she goes out to make the world more beautiful. We love you so much!

Watermelon Festival 2016

A couple of weekends ago in the next town over from us was the Watermelon Festival. My friend Stacey and her son Brandon are some of the ones that are in charge of it. I told her I would come and help her with anything she needed. My friend Robin even came up from the promise land for the festivities.

The day kicked off with the parade.

It was fun to see all of the Bronco athletes.

And of course with any parade it is always fun for the kids to run after the candy that is being thrown.
After the parade there were all kinds of activities throughout the town. Face Painting in the park,
a car show with such cool vintage cars

and there were craft vendors so you could get your shopping fix and of course yummy food. In fact they finish the day off with free watermelon for everyone. So yummy!

Stacey and her family invited some friends and family over for supper. Which was a great time to relax and visit and just hang out. It was a great day! Stacey your hard work paid off the Watermelon festival was a success.

Mom's Coffee 2016

I am so behind with my blogging. I'm hoping this week to get caught up. One of my friends in another town told me a few years ago about a tradition she started for moms on the first day of school. I thought it was a great idea so I started doing a mom's coffee in my neck of the woods. It is a great time to kick off the year meeting and visiting with other moms in the area. Everyone brought such yummy snacks.
The ladies love the coffee especially Bitty who enjoyed a cup of coffee that was as big as her head. Haaaaa!

It was a great time of visiting.

There were a number of little ones that loved playing with each other.

After visiting and eating it was time to play a couple of games. One of the games we played was the Purse game. One of the moms who came last year came prepared this year and had her purse loaded with all kinds of stuff including a can of sweetened condensed milk. She was cracking me up! Love it!
It was such a great morning and the perfect way to kick off a new school year. Thank you ladies for coming out I'm looking forward to a new year and new friendships.

1st day of School

My goal this week was to blog everyday since the kiddos are back in school but here we are and it is Wednesday and this is my first post for the week. Pitiful! Last week and the first of this week everyone started back to school. Ky is in 1st grade and we are SO excited that Mrs. Thornburg is her teacher.  Her classroom was decorated like "Little House on the Prairie" so adorable.

The high schoolers started the same day as Ky. Tiana is a Sophomore this year and

Kenton is a Junior and he would NOT give me a good pic so this is what you get. Ha! He is a mess.

Taryn started college on Monday and wants to major in nursing. God has blessed us with great kids. The milkman and I often talk about what we did to deserve such amazing kiddos and we always come back to the same answer. It is nothing we have done but the blessings God has given us for which we are so thankful! Love them so much and so excited as they all start a new year.
