Garden 2016

The garden that Kenton has been working so hard on is looking great. It fact it is so much bigger since I had taken these pictures.

He did harvest potatoes the other day and it was a great harvest. It has been so nice just to go to the basement and get food for supper that has been grown in our own back yard. Great job Kenton keep up the good work!

She Is Back!!!!

Tiana spent a week in California with some friends and we all missed her SO much. We were so excited to finally get her back. When we arrived at the airport they said her flight was a little bit delayed because of a storm they were flying through. So we just waited.
Only in a Kansas airport would you find farming equipment which of course the guys had to check out.

And what do you do when your bored? You take selfies of course! Kenton was not impressed.

Natalia and Ky had a banter going back and forth about who was going to hug Tiana first. Ky was trying to hold her back. So funny!
Needless to say they both were able to hug her first at the same time.
Tiana's good friend also was able to surprise her and come with us to pick her up. So was so excited! So sweet!!
The 3 girlies had a great time. It has been so fun hearing all about their adventures over the last week. I'm so thankful that she had this opportunity and so grateful for the memories that she made. But, I so glad to have her back!!

And We Are Done!

This week we finished up with wheat harvest. Yay!

Ky and I went and rode along with the milkman and Kenton as they finished their last field.

I even cut wheat for our cousin's daughter's wedding this weekend who wanted to use wheat in her table arrangements. We were blessed with a good harvest this year, no injuries and not any major break downs. God is good!

Family Party

We had a family birthday party on Sunday. It was also our great nephew's birthday this week as well so we celebrated the kiddos along with Father's day.

One of Ky's aunts asked her what she would like for her birthday and see said "a box of rocks" so the first thing she received was a box of rocks. Ky thought that was so funny!

Her "real" gifts were some new earrings since her ears are pierced now and clothes are what every girl wants! We had a great day being together as a family.

Birthday Ears Piercing

All Ky wanted for her birthday was to get her ears pierced. So we all loaded up and heading to the big city to the mall.

She did so great and didn't even cry. She got a little teary eyed but she never dropped one. So big!
Afterwards we asked her where she wanted to eat for supper and see said Freddy's. A hamburger and shake always hits the spot. Yum-O!

Happy Birthday sweet Ky we can't believe you are 6 it is crazy how time flies!

Happy Birthday your 6 Years Old

Six years this morning I went into labor with Ky. Labor and Delivery went perfectly but about 45 minutes later she crashed. Our midwife, the milkman and my sisters jumped in the car and drove her to the hospital in a town closest to us which was 25 minutes away. The whole way there the midwife was doing CPR on Ky. After arriving at the local hospital where they were able to get her stabilized  they took her by ambulance to the hospital in Wichita because she wasn't doing so good. We found out that she had aspirated meconium and she wasn't able to get enough oxygen. The first 6 days she was intubated and we couldn't hold her and the doctors told us that she wasn't looking so good. But God placed amazing prayer warriors in our lives and the prayers went up and the blessings came down. He not only gave her back to us when we didn't think she would make it at all.  He allowed her not to have any brain damage. Now 6 years later if you didn't know us then you would never guess that she almost didn't live to see this day. God is good and if someone says to me I don't believe God is a God of miracles all I have to do is introduce them to Ky!

Tiana made this video for her 1st birthday a few years back and thought I would share it with you today. Happy Birthday Ky we love you so much and are so excited to see what God has in store for your life!
