1st CrafterNation

A couple of months ago my SUPER talented friends Jillain Williams and Gale Nation said "we should have a craft day on the farm". I, the VERY non crafty friend said "if ya'll do the crafts I have the space" and the first CrafterNation was born. We had 25 women attend and we made 2 crafts.

Look at these adorable wooden name tags that Gale whipped up. See I told you they were crafty.

Jillain kicked the day off teaching the wreath class using old sheet music. We rolled them and then hot glued them to make a wreath.

After the wreath class it was time for lunch. The milkman whipped up the most amazing Mexican feast. Seriously so thankful he can cook. De-lish!
After lunch Gale taught a cheater chalk class and the hayloft became really quiet as the ladies worked on their chalkboards.

So much talent in the room. The ladies did an amazing job with their boards.
Before the day was done we drew names for the door prizes. We offered the ladies a chance to win some of these prizes by offering tickets for $1 each. The money that was raised from this was given to a local school where the children are below the poverty line and can't even buy school supplies. We were able to raise $311 for them and some of the ladies went home with some amazing prizes. So thankful for Serendipity, Nest on the Ninth, Jill Burton, Gale Nation, Brittni Rhodes, Dina Ross from Brag, Bling and Bows and Snappy Chicks for their donations to make the door prizes so awesome!
And last but not least we are SO grateful for all of our swag bag donations. Our ladies went home with such amazing swag. Thank you Lisa Leonard, Recipe for Crazy's Print by Lesley Zellers, Key Ring from The Orange Bird, Felt it design by Annie Walker, Quilt brooch by Rekindled Pleasures, Tea Towel by GreenBeeKC, "Create" bunting by Homegrown by Nicki, Planner stickers by Beyond the Paper Flower, Adorable fridge magnet by The Merrry Magpie Vintage, Key Fob by Cheryl Jaeger, wooden arrows from ED designs and Homemade card by Jillain Williams. THANK YOU all SO much for your donations we are so grateful! It was a great day had by all and I'm looking forward to another fun crafting day on the farm in the future. So if you weren't able to make it out this last weekend no worries you will be able to get your chance again.
