Senior Night 2015

Last week was Senior night and the last home game of the regular season. I can't believe how fast Taryn's Senior year has gone by. Well, how fast her whole little life as gone by, it nuts!
I also can't believe that besides Ky I'm the shortest person in the house. Not cool!
So proud of you Taryn. You and Sienna have been through so much together and I'm so proud how you both have weathered all of the craziness. You 2 are such an inspiration to me as well as so many around you.

We were all so excited to cheer you on Taryn for your last regular season home game. Including Ky and her sweet friend.  We love you more then you will ever know. Go Broncos!

Birthday Traditions

Growing up my mom was always so great at making our day, our birthday super special. There are a couple of traditions that I use in our little family with the kiddos. One tradition is that you sing very loudly, very off key "Happy Birthday" to the one that is celebrating. Even as an adult my family still calls each other on their special day and bestows that gift on the birthday girl or boy. Oh and did I mention the earlier the better. In fact this morning I received my first phone call from my dad at 5:30AM!! But my FAVORITE tradition growing up was something I also do for my children and that is they don't have to do any chores on their big day. I LOVE this one, seriously my favorite. No work on your day, Perfection! If only that would apply when you are an adult and a mother. Ha! I do try every year to get a chunk of stuff I do everyday done the day before my birthday. And I do my level best to NEVER do laundry on my birthday (that in itself is the best present to myself Ha!). I love traditions do you have any you or your family do on your special day? I would love to hear them. And now I'm off to spend a glorious day doing whatever I want, or at least until the kiddos get home from school and I have to be responsible again! Ha!

February or April So Confused!

Last week the weather was NUTS! Like so warm, almost hot. Well, it was hot for February that is for sure. It was perfect on Saturday I found Taryn and Ky out chalk drawing on the basketball court. Taryn is such a good big sister always playing with Ky so grateful for her and especially grateful for a break in the cold weather in the middle of winter.

Give A Little Cheer

Over the last few weeks the high school cheerleaders held a cheerleading camp for the elementary school girls. They taught them a couple of cheers and a half time routine that they performed. Ky had a BLAST to say the least.

She was so excited that she was able to do this with her friends especially Mallory.

They all did an amazing job! Thank you High School Cheerleaders you did such a great job at teaching the littles. It was so fun to watch and I know the littles had a great time!

Haystacks...A little after school snack

Here is a super easy yummy snack that we like to make around here once in awhile. It is called "Haystacks". Here is all you need.

6 oz. butterscotch chips, 2 Tablespoons of vegetable oil, 3 oz. chow mein noodles and 2 cups of mini marshmallows.

First up in a glass bowl put your butterscotch chips and the oil together and melt in the microwave.
While it is melting, in a separate bowl mix together the chow mein noodles and marshmallows.
When the butterscotch chips are all melted they should look like this.
Pour the butterscotch mixture over the noodles and marshmallows then stir until everything is coated
Drop by spoonful onto wax paper let cool and enjoy! Super easy and super de-lish!
