Happy 18th Taryn!!

18 years ago today at 3:13AM you arrived weighing in at 6 lbs. and 5 oz. You were born with a head full of dark hair that you have never lost. I remember heating up your 13 month old sister's bottle when my water broke and I thought to myself how am I going to take care of 2 little ones! It was hard to say the least since you didn't sleep through the night until you were almost 6!

You were always trying things out including scissors hence the reason why you are wearing a hat in the picture below you had cut your bangs all the way to your scalp. Pitiful!
But as you grew you became such a loving, caring, big hearted young lady.
You are full of life and when hard times have come you just dust yourself off and stand tall and keep going. We are SO proud of the young lady you have become. You are such a hard worker and we are SO excited to see what doors God is going to open up for you in your 18th year. Happy Birthday sweet girlie we love you more then you could ever know!

The Chicken Coop

A couple of weeks ago we were given a (new to us) chicken coop. It was a little bit of a challenge getting it home and off of the flat bed trailer. But when you are married to a farmer and have great help from our son and Quintin our employee then it can get done.
There might have even been a little bit of fun while they were working. Do you see someone hanging from the tractor. Pitiful!

It was a job and it took the team working together to finally get the coop unloaded.

We are so excited to have some new chicks on the block. I think they are going to like it here.

They have  already rewarded us with some wonderful eggs. We are SO thankful for friends that gave us such an amazing gift. I say it is the gift that keeps on giving!

Basketball Has Begun

Basketball season is off and running. With having our 2 girls on the team we get to watch a lot of basketball. Taryn #50 is a Senior this year so it is bittersweet watching each game she plays. I'm SO proud of her she has come a long way since her Freshman year.

Tiana #21 is a Freshman this year and we are having such a great time watching her grow as a player. These past few games are just the beginning of the season and we are having a great time cheering on the team as they play together.

Go Broncos!

Christmas at the Barn

My friend Mary has the most amazing barn and has such great events in it. That was the case the other weekend. She had an event called "Christmas in the Barn". I couldn't make it out until Sunday and she was all but sold out. I was so excited for her.

Also you have NEVER had Apple Cider until you have had hers. I'm not even kidding you, A-mazing!

Besides, shopping she had a lady giving chair massages. I mean really, shopping and massages in a cool barn WHAT?? I don't remember dying and going to heaven. Ha!
Mary also was able to personalize items i.e. ornaments and signs while you wait. So cool!

It was such a nice afternoon especially when you could hang out with friends.
Thank you Mary for all your hard work and sharing your awesome skills with us. You totally know how to kick off the Christmas season.
