A Little Soup and A Whole Lotta Pie

Last week the Junior class had a fund raiser before the high school Winter concert.

We had SO many pies that I think I cut pie for about 45 minutes straight. It was a good problem to have. :)We had lots of great help before, during and after the supper which lightened the work load and made it so much fun!

Kae washed dishes for what seemed like forever and always had a smile on her face!

Marilyn and Sara were the dynamic duo to make sure everything was there and running smoothly. These 2 ladies are AMAZING!! I don't know how they do everything they do. They are the best class sponsors EVER! Sorry about the blurry pic :(

We became a little stressed towards the end of the evening because we were running out of soup but everyone was fed in the end and we still had a little to spare. The pie however was a whole different ball game! We had so many slices left over that we were able to sale more after the concert. Thank you everyone who helped with the soup and pie supper! It was a great night and I know we were able to help the Jr. class get a little bit closer to having a wonderful Sr. trip next year!

Kidnapped

Well, today is the day…I'm officially in my mid forties! Oh My! Although it seems like I have been celebrating for awhile now.
It all started last Friday when two of my friends kidnapped me for a day of thrift store shopping in the big city. I mean really look at these 2 how could you not have a crazy time with them.

Of course we had to hit the Starbucks first and then the light was on at Krispy Kremes so we had to get a free donut!

I think in total we hit about 9 stores and found some great finds.

We finished the day off with a late lunch complete with a big slice of Birthday cake, coconut cream my favorite. Just to let you know we did share this I didn't eat it all myself but I think I could have. It was so yummy! The best part of the day I would say was the laughter, you know the kind of laughter that your tummy hurts? That kind! I haven't laughed like that in F-O-R-E-V-E-R!! It was such a great day! I am so thankful that these ladies took the day off from their lives to make my day special. I am truly blessed! I have also been blessed with all of the Birthday wishes I have been receiving since last Friday, ya'll know how to make a girl feel special. Thank you! The party is continuing today the Milkman told me after singing "Happy Birthday" to me at 3:30AM when his alarm went off, that He has plans for the day. So I'm excited to see what He has dreamed up! The mid-forties might not be so bad after all, I am one Blessed lady!

Game Night

Around here it is getting to be few and far between that we play board games. In fact the other night when the middle 2 kiddos suggested it, the 2 older girls were gone for one reason or another. Kenton and Tiana wanted to play the game of Life. So we dropped everything we were doing and played!
We had alot of fun! Even Ky got into it, she was SO excited when she was able to put twins in her car! I became excited when I could hold $100,000 in my hand! Now if only that was real money. :)

Kenton ended up beating us all with the most of everything at the end of the game. I didn't real care who won it was just so much fun making those memories.
