Hot Chocolate Mix

The weather around here has been getting cooler Fall is here, which is my favorite season! I thought I would share a homemade Hot Chocolate recipe that my sisters mother-in-law gave them. If you notice I said sisters instead of sister's mother-in-law, because my sisters married brothers. So, not only are they sisters but they are sister-in-laws. Crazy huh?!
I love this recipe for a couple of reasons: 1. It makes a big batch that usually lasts most of the winter season. 2. It is just so creamy and yummy and hits the spot on a cold day. Here is how to make it.

In a large bowl pour in:
1 box of powdered milk (it needs to be the box that says makes 8 quarts)
15 oz. milk chocolate (which is normal hot cocoa you can buy)
1 cup of baking cocoa (I noticed that ingredient didn't get in the picture, not sure what happened there)
4 cups of powdered sugar
1 small french vanilla powdered creamer
1 box of vanilla instant pudding
Stir it up thoroughly in a bowl that can seal airtight, I use a big Tupperware bowl.
Put a 1/3 to 1/2 cup (depending how big your mug is) into your mug add hot water stir, a couple of marshmallows and enjoy!

                                                                         YUM-O!!

The Last One

The volleyball season has wrapped up so technically we should be able to relax in the evenings for the next 2 weeks before basketball season starts. I say technically because it still seems like we are always so busy! It has been a good kind of busy and I enjoy cheering the kiddos on. My kiddos say I might enjoy cheering them on a little to loudly sometimes. Ha! Ha!
I love watching how the girls encourage each other so proud of these young ladies.

Tiana did a great job this year at improving her serve. In fact on her last game she had a 6 serve run. We were so excited!

So, that is it, her 7th grade volleyball year is officially over. I can't believe it! I have seen her grow up this year so much already. We are so blessed with her attitude when she wasn't doing well in some games. We are also really grateful to the coaches for their hard work in showing these young ladies how to play on the court and how to show Jesus off and on the court everyday. We are going to enjoy the next couple of weeks but we are excited to start basketball season maybe I might even dust off my pom-poms!! :)

I Love a good Bargain

If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram you have probably noticed that my sister and I have been splitting our time taking our Mama to Wichita for her Parkinson's therapy. When I drop her off I have about 3 hours to explore parts of the city that I didn't know was out there. It has been fun and I have found a couple of little nuggets that I didn't know existed. Cricket Alley is one of them.  It is an upscale Consignment shop.
They  have everything from jewelry to shoes, career and causal wear, Inspirational and Christian gifts to yummy smelling candles.

I loved how they had everything laid out so classy!

I ended up buying a little black dress for only $24 I was so excited! If you ever get to the west side of the big city I would highly recommend you check out this little boutique. I love a good bargain and you will definitely find one here.

First Time

Last weekend I did something for the first time ever. I had a booth at one of the big flea markets in our area. I was so nervous about doing this because what happens if nothing sell and we have to load all of this stuff back up oh my! As a vendor you have to be there by 6:30 if you wanted to have everything set up by the time the doors opened. We left the house at 5:45 AM! I only wanted 1 booth space because I didn't want to pay anymore than that. But, let me tell you the space was SO much smaller than I thought it would be. Kenton had measured it out on the floor for me here at home so I could get an idea of what it looked like. But, instead of it being a wide space like he showed me on the floor it was a very narrow space so it was a challenge to get most of the stuff in there.

I was so blessed and thankful to have such an amazing team to help me. I don't know how people do this all by themselves.
Tiana and her friend Grace and my mom were such awesome help I would have NEVER been able to do it without them. We look pretty good for 6:30 in the morning huh :)

My sister Alicia and her family were heading back home to Texas so they stopped by to hug our necks one more time before leaving we were so glad. I miss her so much!

Doesn't mom look like a little shop keeper? So cute!! She was definitely in her element here. She loves all things vintage and anyone that knows her, knows she LOVES a good sale!!!

We did really really well and I am thinking this might just be the beginning of something we do once a month. So fun! Taryn came and helped tear down and get the leftovers back into the trailer. There is nothing like good child labor to get things done Ha! Ha! Thanks so much for helping everyone I am so grateful! Mark your calendars the next Flea Market is November 17th I'm hoping to be there so come on out and see me.

The Cottage Collective

The other day I had 2 friends contact me within like 15 minutes of each other and ask me to go to an event called the Cottage Collective. It is in a little town called Kechi about 25 minutes from the farm. Since I was taking Momma to her Parkinson's therapy anyway and it was on the way it worked out perfectly.
The decorations were so shabby chic. Loved it! I mean really who would have ever thought to turn an old mattress springs on it side and hang it from the ceiling add lights and voila` you have not only a light but an amazing work of art.  The whole event was like you walked into a Pinterest picture Craziness!

Remember a few posts ago I told you about my friend Mary (on left) who had the Barn at Sedgwick, she helped with the event and sold some of her beautiful handmade jewelry. So excited for her.

Thanks Sara and Yolanda for telling me about this. I always have a blast when I'm hanging out with you!

So Confused, October or January?

The strangest thing happened on Friday around here, it snowed. So crazy! It didn't stick but it was so pretty as it came down. Tiana and her friend Grace did a really good job at taking these pictures. Did you have anything strange happen to you this weekend? Did you get snow? Happy Monday I hope you have a good one.
