Millie is 1

My youngest niece Millie is turning 1 today! I can't believe a year has gone by. You know in the mist of a day you don't realize it but all of the sudden a day becomes a month, then a year and so on. It really is amazing how time flies!! Happy Birthday Me-me as Kyler would call her. We are so blessed to have you in our lives. We love you so much and can't wait to see all God has for you as you grow up!

Driver x 2

Yesterday, I took Taryn to take her driving test. In Kansas if you live on a farm you can get your driver's license at age 14. It is a restricted license in that fact they can only drive back and forth to school, their job and any farm errands.

She passed with flying colors!!! Yeah!!  So proud of her!!

Of course to celebrate we had to get a Starbucks. Now I'm looking so forward to the creative discussion a.k.a arguing begin between her and Natalia. Can you hear it now? It's my turn to drive, Mom she drove yesterday!  I didn't know as a mother I would have to create a spreadsheet and graphs for the teenage drivers in the house!! Oh the flip side I am glad to have another driver when I am in a pinch and need someone to run an errand so that will be nice. Good job Taryn so proud of you!!

Story Time

Yesterday I did something with Ky that I had never done with my older kiddos. We went to story hour at our local library. Not that I didn't want to take the older ones when they were little it was just that we lived so far away, 30 minutes from town and about 15 minutes of that was dirt road and by the time I loaded everyone up and knew I was going to have to grocery shop on top of that I just didn't make it a priority. Don't get me wrong I LOVE to read and I would read to the kiddos before bedtime almost every night and sometimes at nap time. But, we didn't go to a story time at a library per say. That is until yesterday. Since we moved back into civilization we are able to make a 5 minute drive to the library for story time.
My sister and kiddos were able to come also which Ky loved. It was alot of fun. The story time leader did an excellent job. When she was finished reading to the kids they made a super cute craft. Ky thought she was all that making her own craft. And informed me that "I do it" when I tried to help.

Story time was finished off with a snack which the kiddos thought was delish! Our library did an awesome job! I'm so glad that we can participate. If you live close to a library I highly recommend you check it out.

Fall Decor

Kenton and I hit the Menard's a little hard this weekend. We found all kinds of things to decorate the barn for the barn sale which is just a couple of weeks away. October 13th to be exact. I hope you are making plans to come. I have a busy Monday how about you?

Another One

As of tomorrow we will have another one. Another teenager that is. Kenton came into our lives like a shot out of a cannon literally. Thank goodness we have our babies at home because we never would have it made to the hospital. From the first contraction until he shot out on the floor it was about 45 minutes!! From day one he was the best sleeper. He has always been so laid back. God must have known that I needed a little calm after having 2 crazy very busy girls.

He have always loved to be outside working. Even now I have to tell him to slow down you are just a kid, have some fun!!
He are such a good brother. He love to hang out and do things with his sisters. He doesn't like to go to town unless it is going to Lowe's or Menard's and as soon as he is done with that it is time to get back to the farm.
Anytime he has the chance he will drive the tractor. That is one of his favorites. His other favorite thing he does is design and build things. It is amazing how he knows how to build the things we can design in our heads.
We are so thankful that God gave us a sweet son 13 years ago. We are so thankful for the talents God has given him and we pray that he will use them for His honor and glory. Happy Birthday Son! We love you so much!!

After School Snack

I love modern technology a couple of my favorites is the dishwasher and the washing machine. I love how if you need to find out some information instead of lugging out a big set of encyclopedias (which I have done I AM that old). You can just hit a couple of keys on your laptop and there is the answer. I also love that when I'm crazy busy doing all of those Mommie things and look up at the clock and realize the kids will be home from school in 5 minutes I can go to the fridge and pull out cookies that take 8-10 minutes to cook. And if I throw away the evidence they might think I have slaved on them all afternoon. I LOVE modern technology especially when it comes in the form of a cookie and it might get me nominated for Mother of the year!

I love to read signs. Signs on a church or on a business marquee. I love to read them and if they are funny I usually laugh out loud. One of my favorite ones that I found on a church marquee that I read when I was really young was "Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday." But, the one I saw the other day was really good. I have to preface it by saying my maiden name is Walker. My dad and brothers love to play golf so imagine how excited I was when I saw that there was a golf course that welcomed Walkers!! Finally! We are welcome somewhere! Ha! Ha! Good to know! Have you ever seen a sign that has stuck with you? What is your favorite saying?

Looks can be deceiving

This is our farm truck the milkman uses for everything. The other day Kenton and I had to go and get a load of sand that we needed for some landscaping we were working on around the house. After we were done with our projects we had sand left over. I saw Kenton and Tiana out working in the back of the truck but I wasn't sure what they were doing. When I went out to inspect this is what I found.
A world of Polly Pockets and it looks like they went to the beach. I wish I was a Polly Pocket. I could use the beach right about now!!! It looks like my Tupperwares might have been used to make a couple of pools. Sweet!!

It was fun to see the two of them working together! I love that!!

Art in the Park

Oh, Saturday I woke up to this in the laundry room I should have stayed home and cleaned it but I figured it would still be there when we got home. So, we went to the art and craft show in a little town about 30 minutes away. Even the milkman went! He doesn't enjoy art in the park. But, He said he does like being with us so he came. He kept cracking me up because every now and then he would say in a really loud and excited voice Isn't this so much fun!" or "Isn't that so darling!!" What a crack up!!!!

I love this picture of the milkman with Kyler so cute! He is such a great daddy!!
Of course there is always yummy things to eat and of course we had to partake :)
One of my favorite thing to eat is a bierrock. Its a German roll with meat in it. De-lish!

I love the outfit the girls are standing by it was so cute we decided that Ky needed it. Oh that would mean I would have to sew something. I don't sew that well. In fact my type of sewing is with a hot glue gun. Have you tried it? It makes sewing so fun and easy!!

We did a tiny bit of antiquing, let me just say that this was WAY out of the milkman's realm of fun. But, once again he was a good sport. I love to go to the "barn" and see what new things they have there. It was a drizzly rainy day but we had a good time being together! Thank you milkman for spending the day with us! Loved it and I love you!!

Casting Crowns

For Mother's day back in May my friend Monica's husband Robert bought her Casting Crowns concert. Not only for her but for 5 of her friends. Last night was the concert!! It also happen to land close to Monica's birhtday so we celebrated. It was kind of a crazy night, in the fact that one of us fell and broke her wrist so she couldn't attend. Two of the ladies went at a cross country meet for their kiddos first and couldn't make it for dinner with the 3 of us. And the thing that topped it all off was that it was raining and cold. But, that didn't stop us for having some fun!!
This was Monica's birthday dessert and it was de-lish!!
Elaine and Tammy finally were able to meet up with us so they had to eat their supper while we were sipping our starbucks.

Finally we made it to the concert it was so awesome in fact we were so into it that it seemed to fly by. Fabulous!!!

One of my favorite song by Casting Crowns is "Far as East is from the West". I LOVE how Jesus not only forgives our sins but he forget them as far as the east is from the west. So thankful for that, because I do ALOT of sinning everyday and I am so very thankful for His love and forgiveness. I love how no matter where you are right now Jesus will meet you and walk with you! I hope you all have a chance to walk with Jesus this weekend and for the rest of your days.
