A Clown
Remember the other day when I told you that when a baby gets quiet you better start running!!!!! Sure enough I heard Tiana yell "Mom she got into my dress up makeup!" I guess she did. She was not happy when I took it away from her, that is until I showed her, her face in the mirror, it scared her so bad she cried and cried!!! I have to admit I laughed and laughed. By, the way these pictures were taken before she saw herself in the mirror.

A Birthday Week
What a week! My birthday wasn't until Saturday but my sister Alicia started it off with some thrift store shopping (my favorite) and then mexican for lunch. Delish! She told the waitress that it was my birthday hoping they were sing or something. Thank goodness they did not!!! But, she brought me this made up cake so nice!!
Then on my saturday (the big day) my friend Cindy took me out to lunch and then we spent 4 wonderful hours at the mall! I know you men don't get that! But, no kids and all those stores AMAZING!!

It looks like we bought alot but we used coupons and you won't believe the sales! My best deal was a 48 dollar sweater from JcPenny's that was on sale for 17 dollars, I had a coupon for 15 dollars off of anything so I paid 2 dollars! Are you kidding me that is cheaper then a garage sale!! Love it!
Then for supper the guys met up with us. We had the best time, we laughed and laughed! Cindy's husband is a total crack up, he hates taking pictures can you tell.
But, I caught him in crazy moment below! Good Times!
The restaurant bought me out free dessert! Of course I shared. It was Yum-O. We finished off the evening with what else Starbucks. When we arrived home the kiddos had made a cake from scratch and even cleaned up the house. What a day! Thanks to everyone for making my birthday such a great day!! What more could a momma want!

Craft Weekend #2
My two good friends Megs(www.megduerksen.typepad.com) and Kimberlee (www.thedrivewayoflife.blogspot.com) have weekends where they invite anyone to come and craft with them for the weekend. It is amazing!! My other friend Vera and I went to help them get ready for it.
These are just some of the supplies they use over the weekend to make some amazing things! And the swag below is from all their wonderful sponsors. AMAZING! I'm so proud of these ladies they are taking the talents God gave them to bring all walks of life together for a fun craft weekend and in doing so showing them Jesus by just using those talents for Him.
We set up the beds, dusted, put the swag stuff together (that is my favorite part!), did dishes and laughed and laughed! I have to say it was a good time had by all.
I don't know what cracked up Kimberlee but I'm glad I caught it! It has been fun to get to know Di below better. We go to church together but we have never really talked and I have so enjoyed getting to know her better.
Vera Mae, Me and Megs I'm so thankful to be blessed with such great friends! Love Ya girls! Let me know when your next craft weekend is, I'm always willing to help!!

A Brand New Life
On Tuesday I had the privilege of assisting my friend Kara that is a midwife with my 51st home birth. Everytime it amazes me! Everytime I get tears in my eyes as a new life is coming into the world. Our God is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!
Gene and Amy had Susanna Joy! She was a tiny little thing 6 lbs. and 3 oz. she is perfection in a package. I always forget how tiny they are when they are first born and can't believe how fast they do grow up! Congrats to your family, I'm excited to see what God has in store for this new little life.

Modern Times
I remember when I was a kid how excited I was to get home and watch the after school special on TV or ride my bike with a banana seat or tape my favorite song off the radio with my cassette player! I didn't know who had updated their profile pic or face timed with my friend on my ipod or saw what was the coolest idea on pinterest was, but now a days this is what my teenagers do after school! Play games on their ipod, check facebook or pinterest and while doing all that, talk on the phone!! Craziness! But, at least they are doing it together and I'm sure they are discussing their day! HA! HA!

Trouble
Trouble you say........this cute little face would never do anything wrong.....right?? I learn a long time ago that when a baby gets quiet you better start running to see what they are up to!!
In this instance Ky pulled out all of the kleenex out of the box. What a mess but at least it wasn't something worse like two little sisters that decided to play salon with scissors or water all over the sink or making a cake with some of your kitchen supplies! This one was an easy clean up! Thank goodness!
Tiana dressed her in her outfit. She likes to try different things on her and this is what she came up with this evening. Oh the crazy fun we have on the farm :)

Baked Custard
I love custard and since I'm married to a milkman and live on a farm I'm blessed to have the fresh ingredients that I need to make it. Custard is really simple to make although before I started making it I thought it was really hard. It could be a sweet treat you can make today for you and yours on this Valentine's Day!
Step 1: Beat 4 eggs with mixer until fluffy, then add 1/3 cup sugar, 1/4 teaspoon salt and beat 1 minute longer.
Step 2: Add 3 cups milk and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Beat until nice and fluffy again. Pour into a 8x8 inch baking dish. Put the 8x8 baking dish into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Then pour water into the larger dish until it comes up half way on the smaller dish. This will create a water bath that the custard will bake in so it will be nice and moist and will not dry out.
Sprinkle with nutmeg and bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour or until your knife comes out clean. Cool and enjoy!! Happy Baking!

The Formal
They were so cute! Hunter's family bought him to our house about an hour before we had to leave for pictures and so we could get to know them better. Hunter's mom Cindy and I talked off and on all week. In fact I think we will be friends for a long, long time she is a hoot!!

Did I mention that it was the winter formal? Flip Flops? The milkman was running a little late because of chores which made us leave a little late. And since we left a little late and were going a little faster then the law would allowed. We saw Roscoe P. Coltrain in the rear view mirror! Luckily, he was really nice and gave us a warning to slow down. The kids made it on time with a story to tell! It was a good evening had by all!!!!
