Happy 40th

Yesterday was my brother's 40th birthday!! In fact, that is one of the main reasons we went to the promise land of Oklahoma. It was so good to visit with friends and family.

This is his lovely family they just moved into a beautiful home in Arkansas and Bridget made a yummy meal. Delish!!!

Bridget's sister Beverly has been my friend since high school I use to hang with her alot! It was so fun to see her!!
I started about 5 years ago buying for Wayne's birthday a funny shirt, this is the one I got him this year. I think it fits him perfectly!!! :)Alicia and I were the only siblings that could make it to his shin-dig!!

Happy Birthday Wayne the Pain!! I love you and am so thankful you are in the club now!!

Cousins

We have some cousins that are missionaries in Russia and they came back to the states for the summer. We were so glad it worked out for them to come over the other day. We were in the store making cheese curds so they were able to help with that!! I'm so thankful that we were able to see them!!

The little Bakers

Tiana and Addison decided to make cupcakes out in the store while I was making cheese curds. They were YUMO!! and they did a great job at cleaning up their mess. Good job girls and thanks for the yummy snack.

Farmer's Market

I love farmer's markets its one of my favorite things about summer! Whenever we are on vacation we always try to find one. Sure enough we found one! Something about walking through a farmer's market just makes you feel healthy!!! HA HA  It wasn't very big but it was fun to see all the beautiful fruits, veggies and flowers. 

The Cover Up

First of all I want to say again how grateful to all of you for your votes and especially to Megs (www.megduerksen.typepad.com) for taking such a great pic and for using her blogging super power to help get votes. Thank you so much You rock!!!!

Over the weekend the milkman cut the corn silage, then last night it looked like it was going to rain so we had to cover it up with a huge plastic tarp, which is a challenge because of the wonderful crazy Kansas wind. But, with all of us working together we got it done. Now, the cows will have lots to eat over the winter months.

Thats right Kyler won!!! Thank you so much for your votes she wouldn't have made it without you!!! We couldn't believe it!!!This is her loot bag she received...it was full of toys and the framed picture you will see a few pictures down and the big prize was a 1000 dollar visa gift card!!! Can you say her first semester's college books will be paid for!!! Well, hopefully!!! This was the big wolf that was outside of Rylee and Reece's kids boutique where the winner was announced. Kyler thought it was cool! Thanks so much Wichita Wolf 100.5 we love your station!!!

Rain????

While we were on vacation in Ohio it rained 3 days in a row. It wasn't always a long rain like this but, it did rain and we, not seeing rain here forever just stood there like a calf looking at new gate! (thank you Donya for the great saying) We tried to bring some home but so far it hasn't worked, sorry all the farmers of Kansas!! The milkman is in the same boat and he got more depressed the closer we got home and saw our fields. Hopefully, God will bless us soon with a bunch of rain!

First time to Fly

We were so excited to be able to fly to the wedding! It was the first time they have flown on a commercial airline. Tiana was the most nervous but afterward she said she wanted to do it again, thank goodness seeing as we have to get home :)
Kenton found a easy way to tote Kyler around! We did have her stroller also but she seemed to like his way better!!All the kids LOVED to walk or ride on the moving sidewalk they thought that was so cool!Did you know that they still give out wings when you fly?? I didn't but Delta does and do and the kids thought that was so cool. Tiana wanted her picture taken with our flight attendant. She was so nice!Waiting to get on our plane, the kids had fun trying to figure out which one was ours! They all did great and I'm so thankful to the milkman that he let us fly instead of driving the 16 hours with a baby!!!

The Wedding

This last weekend my sweet brother Micah (aka scooter) was married! We were so grateful to be able to attend the wedding even if it was all the way in Ohio!! He married Meagan she is a wonderful!! We all fell in love with her right away it understandable why Micah fell in love with her!! Here are some of the pics from their big day! We love you guys congrats and best wishes!!They had a dance and Kenton who was shy at first loved to dance with all the pretty girls!!
Kyler danced so much I think she danced every song until she fell asleep in Taryn's arms.

I have a feeling this won't be the last time that Dan dances with his daughters. The wedding was so beautiful!! We are so excited for you both!The newest sister-in-law with us crazy Walker girls!!

You boys clean up nicely! Thanks Micah for asking Kenton to be a groomsman he looked so grown up and handsome!! We had a great time! See you in September. We love you so much! Congrats and best wishes!!

A friend from the city

Our good friends Steve and Donya came over yesterday and they brought their 7 year old nephew Shane Jr. He is from the promise land of Oklahoma and he was the sweetest little man. Steve's brother Shane, Shane Jr's. dad recently died suddenly of a heart attack so Steve and Donya brought him home with them after the funeral. He had never been out of the city. Let alone fed a baby calf! So, they came over to do some "morning chores".

Steve and Donya's boys loved to help out as well. Thanks Conner and Carson you did a great job!! May God bless you both for your loving kindness in a very tough situation.
