These cherries above are called ground cherries. We had never tried these and they had samples, they don't have much of a taste, just juicy.
And right on the square there was a Starbucks and of course we couldn't pass that up!!
Did you know that this is how brussel sprouts grew? We didn't!

Of course in Wisconsin you can always find tons and tons of great cheese!
What do you think this is? A Flower? No its the vegetable Kale. It looks like a really pretty flower huh! We had a great time at the market! I just wished we lived closer so that we could have brought some of that yummy goodness home!!
Thanks for taking those pictures! That IS amazing! I would love to shop there too! One of the very first persons Dad led to the Lord in Japan became a pastor and eventually he and his family immigrated to the States and they live in Madison. I drove through it often when Jill and Adam lived in Green Bay.
ReplyDeleteI wish Newton and Wichita's farmer's markets were better...they are just ok...nothing too glamorous. looks like you guys had fun...was this your first weekend away since having Kyler?

ReplyDeleteI haven't thought about that Tiffany but I guess it was!! We had a great time! When are you leaving on your trip?
ReplyDeleteSaturday! I have so much to do in the next 2 days. Trying to pack for 6 people, run errands, and plan food and accessories for a week away is rather stressful and lots of work. It will be worth it in the end, but I don't plan on sleeping very much over the next 2 days! :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the pics and the blog as usual :) I lived in Madison for 5 years and it was a super neat place to be!!
ReplyDeleteOh, Kerry this blog is fabulous. It is wonderful to document your life. I got to reading posts and couldn't stop (nice to have something to do while nursing a babe at 6am). Keep up the great work. You are an inspiration.
